Warsaw is an ever-changing city. New buildings and squares are built, new colours appear.
Warsaw citizens happily bring back neon signs and stylish signboards inspired by the landscape of the city from the past.
The Sztuka w Mieście Foundation initiated the conception of a huge light installation inspired by traditional neon signs. The installation was formed into “I LOVE WARSAW” sign.
Letters more than 3 metres high spanned through 3 storeys on a new building being built on Europejski Square in Warsaw (Warsaw Spire) while the whole sign was 10 m high, 25 m wide and placed 140 m above the ground. The ‘o’ letter in the word love was replaced by a heart which flashed in white, blue, red and yellow colours (the colours of the foundation and of the city of Warsaw).
